I'm so bored that when I saw the henna paste bought during my umrah, I drew on the nearest canvas (i.e my own skin) with my absolute zero-experience in henna drawing. Heh. If it works out nice, i'll show it to you. If not... I'll still show you, but well, you can't see it in real life 'cos I hid it somewhere. Heehee.

Edit:
Here you go~ Guess where I ink-ed myself =P

p/s: yes, the henna has blue dye in it.

How can my mother and I know that it's not the original henna? We wanted a dark henna, not blue henna. I guess the shopkeeper didn't understand us and vice-versa...

But now it looks like some noob tattoo ink! Hahahaha...
Hur hur. =x

Frustration.

This is my expensive set of tools.

And please compare it with my cheaper set of tools (from Daiso)

This proves the theory that not everything expensive is as good as something cheap.

Think wise!

Melted Dark Chocolate =]
yumyum!

This is one of the weirdest things I had probably bought in my entire life this year.

Sorry, blurred pic.

I wanna name this side-head-banging green dude.
Anyone up for any suggestions?

You know that a house cat's life is pretty tempting in Singapore.

It's My Safety You've Taken

Break fast at Causeway Point.
Ate McD - a medium & a large iced lemon tea, fries, and chicken foldover.

Bloated.
I felt like my stomach's floating or acting like one water-bottle on a ship facing a terrible storm.

What Makes A Man A Man - Emery

Take a look and see for yourself
What makes a man A Man.

And I, I will stare back to the life I left
Maybe you won’t forget... Who I am.

Wake up in the middle of the night, just don’t believe everything’s all right.
When these thoughts are running around your head.
And it's late; So you don’t really want to say good-bye
So you just head down the stairs that lead you out
The sound of silence is as loud as a gunshot

"Forgive me." were the only words they read
On the note you left.

Singing oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh
I can’t find anyway out, I can’t find anyway out
Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh
I can’t find anyway out, I can’t find any way out.

I wish I could live where the sea meets the land,
The ocean and I would be the best of friends.
And I’d make her my own; I would float in her waves.
She would sing me to sleep as she carried me away.

Won’t you carry me away?
Oh, please carry me away.
Ocean, carry me away.
You’re my better half.

Singing oh oh oh, oh oh oh
I can’t find any way out, I can’t find any way out
Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh
I can’t find any way out, I can’t find any way out

I don't really want to sing anymore.
There's got to be something I could live for,
So just show me now. [Can't find any way out]
Everyday is just another regret.
It's time for me to give it a rest
And it's over now. [Can't find any way out]

A(nd) look and see for yourself,
What makes a man A Man.

Friday... oh Friday.

So this is how I look like if I imagined it in an exam paper's view...
(Truth is I'm quite paranoid as I was taking it in the office. Lol)

And I was super tired by the time I reach home...
I was dying to get myself in bed but this is what I came home to see...

Look at that CAT's SLEEPY FACE... wtf.

Even I'm kind hearted *ehems* enough to share MY bed with HER.
She even took more than half the BED... *takes deep breath*

YET!

LOOK AT HER FACE!

What an appreciative cat.

Self-scrutiny.

Latest addition to the family~

Even when you try to wake her up, she goes back to sleep.
I'm too impatient to wait for her to wake up 'cos I hardly see her eyes open any longer than 5 minutes. I wish I could her all over but I'm still recovering from my cough. Really wanna squeeze/pinch/hug/carry/sing/talk to this 2-month old baby.

So... I was cleaning my wardrobe...

Good guesses anyone? Lol.

Don't underestimate a cat's hearing.

And don't underestimate my 3.2 megapixel camera phone. =P

I love my dad's car.
I wanna drive my dad's car.
Sitting at the driver's seat makes me want to get my license quick.
I want to drive!

Meanwhile... Let me enjoy the backseat. =P

You know sometimes, it's irritating that you can't stop time?
When you feel like you aren't ready to do a presentation,
or when you really swear you could probably flunk the whole exam,
or maybe you're nervous for any occasion,
or you know what's life (or any occasional person who you're fighting with is) going to throw to you...
or maybe it's just that you wake up to find a red spot on your face...

Don't fret.
I just invented a out-of-the-state and a useful tool.
And it's going to be something that's totally gonna make me rich.

A life controller.

Ah, sorry, it has some minor setbacks. It keeps changing the channels.

I wished I could totally 'control' time or my life with one though...

The difference in this path of life

I'm sitting down, outside at the pavement near the void deck in front of my house, facing the road, at night, with streetlights. With my 2nd sis. It was windy, I'm sure of it, and my arms were getting cold. We saw something but I found it blur to look at. My sister said that its not one of us.

We started to talk about the streetlights and the wind and I'm sure my sister said something about my 2nd bro, reminding me that I can see how far she really has him in her heart. By then I saw this queer looking 'man' working by the roadside plucking out god-knows-what's-growing-from-the-earth, probably weed. These men totally looked like they are straight out from a monster-description book. Slouched body, long hands. They looked like workers, slow but they are strong, and capable of long working, pain-staking hours.

-

Soon after I stood up and walked away from my home, going up towards the next neighbourhood. Only god knows why I suddenly dreamt of Joanne, my secondary school classmate. I recall we were both standing at a pavement nead a road leading to a carpark area. The handles of those silver railings was near to me, but I don't recall holding it.

Joanne was on the phone, and we walked across the road away from the suddenly-there-crowd. Seems like we were meeting someone, which I safely assumed that she called her friend. We walked ahead and I met 2 guys that I should know.

It seems like I was with someone before, maybe it was Sis, but she's blurry in my line of view. So there from left to right, I see Joanne, a guy from school that I am sure will scare him if I ever said that suddenly he was in my dream, and a guy who I wasn't sure I knew, but believes that it's not hard to be friendly with him 'cos he looks very accepting. He gave me smiles despite the fact he's sitting down writing something, with books filled in a bag lying down beside him. 3 of them sitting down, (with a shadow of someone on my left) at some nearby voiddeck that I'd propably will never find and be able to describe.

-

I don't know what or reasons why I left them behind to head home, probably with another excuse of far late into the night. I remember placing my bunch of keys on the table, looked at my hall that's not lit. I guess from where I am I was standing either near the kitchen or the narrow walkway to my room. Somehow I was in bed, when someone called me.

"Hello and what can I do for you, babe?",
Those words are far too familiar that it rang in my ears as someone I so much know.

Weirdly enough, it was supposedly to be that 2nd guy/3rd person. He called himself as ZJ someone's friend and it really sounded like we both know each other well enough. I asked about the time and what they are doing.
"Well it's about 9pm now, so I guess I'd be staying over up until say, 8, hmm, 6am?"
"Oh yeah, you're studying for the night aren't you?"
"Yeah."
"Hmm, okay. I tell you what, if it's too late and by any means you guys are leaving and you have nowhere else to go from there, you can come over to my place to spend the time before you head on (somewhere where you have to)"
He agreed.
"Hmm, issit okay if you pass the phone over and call (insertgoddamnedfriendfrompoly'sname) for me?"
And he probably said "Sure." before passing the phone over.

-

It's funny 'cos by then, I was in bed lying on my back, realising that I am waiting to talk to someone, expecting a voice over the receiver, but my right hand that's holding the phone apparently was placed on my stomach. I guess I was far too sleepy, and judged that I might have a visitor soon, and I should wait for my friend to call me back. I guess I answered the phone, but I totally have no idea of what was I talking about.

-

Only then I woke up from slumber. Fresh with a dream.
Now I'm wide awake with some odd fractions of memory that I'll soon forget.
But somehow I'm allowing myself to write this, and msned someone I so recall and free of telling that he was literally in my head then.

Honestly, a weird random dream.

Yes. The emoness strikes again...

After school, we went to SIM to get some tummies filled.
I kept thinking of biting into epok-epok/currypuffs that I had earlier (to last till dinner).

We talked about books. Harry Potter came into mind.
I commented that maybe JK Rowling probably can start another continuation with whatever characters newly mentioned...
My friends found that unbelievable... but...
We all gila-gila made fun of the Harry Potter series. Making up lewd titles. Haha.

We played scrabble, jenga truth or dare, cluedo, wheel of fortune. Screwed up game, that is.

I went back home window shopping at causeway point.
drooling on laptops.
and ignoring glances at the bustop... <.<

3. Trust

Love brightens up a person's appearance. Marriage brightens up a home.

Okay... So today was an okay day, went out with my parents... and I got myself a new bracelet, replacing the old one that broke while I went out to drool on the current laptop models at the NP orientation day early this year.

So, while hanging about window shopping, I saw this nice bag that I think I'll forgive myself if iI succumbed into the temptation. I don't really go for some expensive bag since I'm a student, and heck. ONE expensive bag can cost me MORE bags for me to drag around.

I went around to find the shopkeeper. A fairly young auntie amoy came around to tend to me. Okay... so I went to ask for the price. A thick accent sprouted out, "?? dollar". Then she went on and on speaking to me and my mom in Chinese. Mandarin. I can understand what she's trying to say lah. Cheap, Pretty, Try, "Nice nice" with thumbs up approving while I slumped it over my shoulder. But it's all spoken in chinese/mandarin. My mom said, "Er, I don't know what you saying lah" (in english). Of course, I'd have to agree I wouldn't know as well if I never had myself stuck around people speaking of that language.

I was quite appalled.

I wonder, how can a person at her age not even know simple English? I mean, we tried asking her in simple English, in Singlish as well, even in Malay, (and if we could we'd probably ask in Tamil too) and she had no clue on what we were trying to converse with her. I even hear her say, "I don't know what you're telling me" and "That one, not I sell" in a pretty alien language to my mom who went about looking at items next to her stall. I told what I understood to mom and I suddenly feel pretty awkward being exposed in this language barrier. I'm sure mom was too.

I guess I'm just far off more displeased with the idea that I can't converse to a person who's trying to gain my money. Even if I understood all the words she told me like the ones I mentioned above, she don't understand me at all. It's overwhelming in some sort.

I know I'm quite thankful that I know a bit more or less of the language but I couldn't converse it. Even so, I think I am more proud to say my country understands English even no matter how old they are. But for me to have such a language barrier, it's horrifying.

Judging from that, I think she's not Singaporean either. Honestly, I think, everyone is able to converse to each other in this country, despite their mother tongue.

This isn't the only appalling things I've seen/experienced.

---

When I wanted to go apply for a part time job, in desperate measures, I went off to ask a good friend to offer find me one. He did, that was really nice of him.

So, he passed the message to his friend, which offered me the job and asked for my details, i.e My Name, Age, School, all that basic stuff. She agreed and I was given the address to go to. I went, with another friend who got the job as well, gleaming with the thoughts of having some extra pocket money.

What I didn't expect is what I'd be facing in a few hours later being there.

She saw me and she went frantic. She brought us into the working area. Either she was very busy, or she was pretty much trying to run away from the whole scenario. She went about saying there isn't any room for us to work with. (fyi - I was supposed to be working in customer-related job. On the counter sort.)

Honestly, it feels like a horrific scene playing in my head.

She ended up giving me a data entry work from home job. As I sat there, waiting for her to brief us, I desperately feel the need to throw a huge tantrum there and then (which I, of course, didn't). I sms-ed my friend asking for a reason why am I in this situation and he was the one apologising to me profusely (at least, albeit more sincerely) I was partly spoken to and briefed over the work in Mandarin. And she apologetically reasoned out with me that she didn't know I (as in me being whatever I'm grouped at in my I.C.) was coming and her boss doesn't like people like me. She also blamed her friend for not informing earlier. (Er, didn't I even tell her my name before hand? It was my full name, in fact.)

I told her seriously, that if she "really don't want me to work for her, by all means." Just say it. Honestly, you don't need to go all frantic and make me look (and feel) like an alien in your workplace, being stared at by ur minions colleagues working at the counter.

In my head I was like...
"What? Why do people like me deserve to be treated this way?"

---

Lastly, I wonder why I feel at a disadvantage when I saw the entry requirement for Biomedical Sciences & Chinese Medicine.

*ponders* That is one of the few double degrees offered.

-------*

I, in by any chance, wasn't directly referring to anyone, or any organisation for that matter. This is a personal view, and it wasn't directed to any fragments of un-patriotic-ism. I love my country, and by that, whatever comes with it. It wasn't meant to be done in spite at all.

Whereever we go, we are bound to experience something along the lines written above.

I masked a heart with a cold one, just for safety.

Saturday
I went out with Mom, Dad and Brother.
I was feeling sick and very very insecure.
But, my remedies are far closer to heart.
They smiled.

I, too.

Sunday
My little niece came over. My parents went out.
I stayed at home to finish up my presentation.

Pain consumed me.

Monday

Presentation. It went okay. I was very very fatigued, but I didn't stop walking.
A power outage for about 2 hours. Half the block suffered. Kids played under the void deck.
Neighbours suddenly spoke to each other like old time friends.
Mom, Dad and I played with tealights. By the time the power came back, Dad was already sleeping.
It was surreal.

When I was on the way home, I wrote essays in my head.

Tuesday

I rested at home.
A new washing machine arrived in the afternoon.
The word, lupus, echoes. Like how it did since 10 years ago.

I fingered the picture of me and my brothers that exists along the hallway.

---

So, it's not wrong to mask a heart with a cold one... right?
I wonder why at times, even with all that, I tend to melt away in memories.
Sometimes, I'm sure that I don't want to leave.

-------*

Pardon me.
Some news are abit too many.
I'm not too sure if it's ever appropriate to put it up in print.

Random pictures

Not a picture I wanted it to be. But I'll try to capture it again.

There's something about this toy giraffe that makes me hold it the whole time. Actually, it's a giraffe that vibrates when it snores... real loud. But I like~ *heart*

(Not in picture: Kak Diana)

My lovely adorable 6 month old baby nephew.

His smile can melt any Antartica-cold heart.
His baby talks makes me wish that I could understand his language and answer him. He even talks when I was feeding him.

... Like how I love chatting to my going-to-be 4 year old nephew and niece. =]
(I'll get more pictures with them soon.)

One of my favourite picture...

There is this war raging in within me, trying to decide whether hope or logic rules the other. It has been raging by only one catalyst that's can also play a role as the supressor, that is, if it changes its mind. Trying to dismiss that it wont happen actually makes me a walking time bomb. Trying to run as far as I could so that no one notices and gets hurt if the time ever runs out.
