I take too many pictures,
not because I want to waste my time and space,
and sometimes I think people gets edgy while waiting for me to take them,
but pictures only happen at that exact second,
and it cannot be replicated,
even if you put yourself in the same environment.
I take too many pictures,
yet I'm not afraid to show it to the world,
because I want them to see what I see,
without a need to share a story.
I laugh any chance I get,
at the lamest jokes people tell me,
in the most stressful situation,
when I tripped and fell,
when I'm around the people I feel at ease with,
even when I know that I'm losing something I treasured the most.
I laugh any chance I get,
because there's just too much pain in this world that we can get,
but the things that we will miss the most,
is when we cry over the most treasured memory we have.
Our nature is to whine over the simplest things,
because we believe we can get better than this.
But we never looked at those who are not as privileged as we are,
and we never realised that a roof is better than none at all,
or a drink is better than being dehydrated in this warm weather,
It is in our nature to whine over things,
yet we are taught to be thankful,
and when we are...
we become better people,
and able to fall asleep without a tear.
We do our daily routines all the time,
yet we never stop to take a breath,
just to concentrate on a breath,
and to take more steps without an aim,
and to dance...
freely,
easily,
shamelessly,
and at ease.
We are in a world where we don't dance,
but it would be a better place if we do.
Everyone is afraid,
I am afraid too.
I am afraid to feel pain,
physically, emotionally.
I am afraid to see my effort down the drain,
and to see my time burn into nothing,
but if I am afraid constantly,
I won't take too many pictures,
I wont laugh freely,
I won't take a deep breath and dance,
so I have to learn how to love.
I will love,
and I will constantly try,
even if it hurts me,
I won't waste my time,
because I'd be thankful for the things that happen to me.
I will love,
because I am a human,
a person with needs,
a daughter,
a friend,
a sister,
a teacher,
a lover.
I own something people will never see,
my love, for anything.
