Basically, this anime is a psychological thriller mystery drama. As the episodes move along, it comes in question arcs and answer arcs. The question arcs shows you what happens with a full series of why's popping up in your head. The answer arcs answers to the question arcs in a different view, trying to make sense of it all.
It heavily involves a group of friends, in a small village. And a village curse. Whenever someone starts doubting, all the weird things starts to happen - revolving around the same day of the year. Series of events follow.
You as the viewer, you have the gruesome opportunity why they suddenly lose some screws in the head and starts killing people.
Confusion aside, the second season just started airing recently in Japan. It tries to cover the missing pieces in the 1st season. It's a good anime. Different. At first scary, then confusing, then everything in the mind starts to wander.
I recommend this anime. Seriously. Well, I don't pay to scare myself, and how I found this anime is actually by luck. I stumbled but just continued watching.
Psychologically, it is really not for the weak mind/heart.

As for me, I fell ill again.
This time round, eating, drinking, talking and yawning feels like a chore.
It's darn painful.
It's also worrying, stressing and tiring me out.
My bruise is still there. =/
