[this entry's meant for my AnakMelayu blog. It's freaky cos they have some word-limit there... but I guess what I comment there shall be placed here for better reading purposes... FYI, it was my first entry there ^^v]
Ah. Blogs. Weblogs. Thinkingblogs. Hoeblogs.(Is that word even permitted here?)
Whineblogs? ... Whatever.
Basically, first entry and first entry. *woohoo... claps hand, shakes body, bangs head*
Yes. I have another blog to entertain, but I shall try to be un-lazy to just update this blog here. Wonder if RSS feeds are available, so updates are easier. Oh, heck.
I shall make decent-smart-not-a-day-to-day entries in this blog then. Happy?
Okay. So I guess the title is albeit self-explanatory, I doubt that people will think twice after glancing through this title. But those reading ain't. Good for you. Maybe because it's out of curiousity, you wish to find out. I hope to get comments out of this entry, rather.
Probably it popped in your head that I might talk about spooky stuff. And you think that you're manly-gungho enough. Whatever gave you the energy to move that cute cursor of yours to this entry, I'd like to disappoint you that... It's not about some spooky-scary-omgIwannafaintreadingthis crap. I don't pay to scare myself. [Awww. Don't leave :( ]
[Not leaving? o.O?]
[Yay! :D ]
So, about this title... I'd rather talk about that sentence about something else that may make you peeps ponder for a bit. Since you already have thought that it's something we don't know, what don't we know?
1. The tests, quizes, exams that we have every other time in our education-in-singapore life?
2. Oh. You're not that geeky, eh? What about your driving test? Yeah, that card that may be something you kiss evey other day more than your significant other or your cat?
3. Try being in a foreign land, with nothing familiar, with no family member or any favorite cute pillows or even your iknowyoucantlivewithoutone phone?
4. Some blue-uniform dude caught you breaking a law and yet you do not knowing the alarming consequences while you were doing it?
(If that's not good enough, try first job interview)
5. What about imagining yourself to be a single parent? Come on, think.
6. Try thinking about what would happen if any loved peeps: parents, siblings, pets, or that person who you sayangsayangicintayouwoainisomuchkisskiss suddenly knocked some sense to you that they are a schizo?
7. How about... ghosts?
Okay, some points up there may not fear my readers out there, but hey, just try to think about it. FYI, I placed seven points 'cos I love that freaking no. Yes, random fact about me. (I wonder if AM would remove numbers in their site other than the profile)
So, let's put it this way, if we don't educate ourselves we won't know it right? Some may choose to be good at one thing and not know the others, but I'd rather choose to know and not be awesomely good at anything but know the rest.
Why? Well, it's something that can make my brain cells alive for a longer time and I would like to hear even the ironic and oxymoronic comments any person would have. Other than that, it's something I talk about to people I feel comfortable with. Maybe the points stated above won't be one of the conversations, but, still, I like to observe and understand people's view. Why would you be on this side or the other side. And seriously, is the grass always greener on the other side?
Anyway, let's continue.
Don't we all avoid situations where we will face something we fear? Like, if you're scared of spooky stuff, (in your right mind) you won't get tickets for the spooky show, right? Probably that awful maths question because if you get it wrong you'd be embarassed by your teacher in front of everyone...
Yes, most of us avoid them...
But you will have to embrace some situations one day or another. You can't run away with the education system by getting an F for 'O' level maths yet you know that you need it in ITE/Poly/JC(duh.)/Private Institutions/etc. (Most of) You hate it, let's face it. (Okay I love Math, screw my geekiness.) So what can you do about it?
Educating yourself over the matter reduces the fear/hate. If you try to take some steps to overcome it, by any means, you can at least live with the fact that you don't like what you fear.
Ignore the supernatural, but some things that are pretty superficial only needs time and an opportunity for you to learn.
If some favourite teacher of yours will take over your most hated subject of all, you might give that subject a chance (or an opportunity), wouldn't you?
Educate yourself in something that you don't know.
So it's not as far as fearing in something we have no clue about.
May I add, as cliche as it sounds; practice just makes it closer to perfection.
But not everything in life has a second chance. You won't really have a chance if someone really leaves you for good. (as in, they pass away for some incident...)
(Ironic as it may sound, I use this sentence to question myself over the things that I want in life.)
That's about it... Hope it ain't that dry to register in your intelligent brain... =X
[Ponder this: Some fears will just end up to hate. Yes? No?]
Don't know? Just comment or rant any random thoughts then...
