Come like a thief in the night...

... Be a rapture and take me away.

While waiting for the hearing of azan over the radio, I gave in to the compelling need to blog. :]

Today, I buggered myself over the idea that I couldn't get myself a book to read. It's not like the library isn't a 15 minutes walk away, it's just that I've compounded enough book fines to not allow myself to borrow a book and I have to settle that fine soon, especially when I am bound to religiously bring myself to the library to get more ideas on lesson plans and research.

So I settled on reading my twitter updates which I followed singapore_news to get away from my father's whines of me not reading the news. Articles are meant to move your feelings and to educate you. But I have noticed recently that there are news that are just displeasing to read. I would not mention which, but I would mention one article that lifted my spirits up.

BUTTERFLIES!
I'm going to see butterflies at Orchard Road!
Awww.
Isn't this going to be so sweet and romantic? Like in storybooks and movie scenes?
Are my favourite flowers going to be planted too? Does Gerbera flowers attract any butterflies for that matter.
Hmm...

In my honest point of view... the S$400k spent on this is viewed on a successful platform. Nonetheless, I am worried about the idea that our people would not appreciated the man-made beauty for these beautiful creatures.

While dreaming of a nice walk there with my loved ones, I cooked up a dangerous scene of...
  1. kids trying to 'kidnap' butterflies into making them their pets,
  2. teens smoking and choking the lungs of butterflies (presumably they do have it) and themselves,
  3. and photographers who are unwilling/unwise enough to not use flash to make them blind.

=(
I hope that scene does not happen. It'll crash my childhood dreams.
